Initial 12-month contract. Onsite, days role.

Primary role

  • Provide EHS support for project actives at the Cork site.
  • EHS inputs to project design through 3-D design reviews.
  • Support completion of EHS by Design elements for BC3.2 project.
  • Participate in project Green Tag walkdowns to verify EHS compliance and assist identifying and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Identify and assist in the delivery of Operational Readiness elements for BC 3.2 projects, including Job safety Analysis, Chemical Risk Assessments, Ergonomic Assessment etc.
  • Complete EHS assessments as part of project management of change requirements and facilitate implementation of identified actions.
  • Support closure of project EHS actions.
  • Manage and update various site registers impacted by BC3.2 project activities, including Confined Space Register, Bund Register, Tank Registers etc.
  • Update site SOP’s impacted by BC3.2 project activities.

Additional scope

  • Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / program reviews to ensure compliance with safety and environmental permits, plans, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support to System Owners, System Users, and other project stakeholders to facilitate project delivery compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Industrial Hygiene Monitoring program.
  • Support Chemical management and new product inductions through site chemical and new product introduction risk assessment.

She/he will have a strong EHS general/technical knowledge and experience in the Bio/Pharma industry or equivalent, be a strong effective communicator with all stakeholders. She/he will be a strong collaborator with a proven track and a strong networker able of leveraging EHS&S expertise on and off site.


  • Previous experience working in an EHS role in a project environment desirable.
  • Broad knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO 45001 international standards, preferably within a Biopharma/pharmaceutical or related environment is required.
  • A relevant third level 8 qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 3 years’ experience in the environment, health and safety area is a prerequisite for the position.
  • Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety
  • Previous experience in dealing with regulatory agencies
  • Experience in creating dashboards, power-point presentations and can track and trend KPI’s, assembling information into clearly written reports, documented findings or recommendations and communicate this progress in easily understandable manner to all stakeholders.
