Initial 12-month contract role.
Working under the direction of the IT Product Owner the Business Analyst will be the key liaison between the Business and IT teams. The Business analyst will ensure the Product Vision is translated into a prioritised backlog for the IT development team and will take responsibility for providing ongoing clarity to the team during the development process
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing support to the IT Product Owner and Business SME’s in building out the Product Vision and detailed User Stories and acceptance criteria.
Responsible for the outputs of requirements gathering, workshops and mobilisation activities and translation into IT deliverables.
Communicating directly with IT technical team to formulate Solution Designs and high level Product Roadmap.
Key Liaison with IT Scrum Team for all Scrum ceremonies, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning? sprint Demo’s etc
Engaging directly with business and technology stakeholders to define and drive changes
Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Strong Knowledge of SDLC and Scrum practices.
Experience in delivering large IT systems.
Strong communication skills (including relationship building)
Knowledge Business systems and their usage.
Self-motivated worker with the ability to motivate others.
Ability to train and guide all levels of users in the use of sophisticated computer solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Level 8 degree in Business and / or Computer Studies or equivalent.
3-5 years’ experience in software development role, ideally using SCRUM.
Experience working with Manufacturing systems in an automated environment.
