Electrical Engineer

We are currently looking to hire an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. Based in our Waterford office and / or remotely located, the ideal candidate will be looking to further their career and gain invaluable experience in Building Services within an established consultancy with a friendly and team-focussed environment. The successful candidate will assume a lead role in a diverse and challenging range of design projects across all sectors (healthcare, technology, industrial and education).

Qualifications / Skills

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5-years post-qualification experience, most of which will be in design gained within a consultancy environment.
• Team player.
• Organised and adaptable with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in the design of the Services Mechanical / Electrical systems
• Revit experience would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

• Your day-to-day duties as Mechanical / Electrical Design Engineer will include:
• Design of Mechanical / Electrical Services and Installations (from initial concept stage to design handover stage) – including brief development and design solutions. Site deliverables / post contract works will be represented by alternative / office-based engineers only.
• Compilation of Specifications for Services designed.
• Remote staff will be required to attend weekly / bi-monthly internal TEAMS calls.
• Ensuring full co-ordination between specifications and drawings.
• Compiling project reports – based on relevant experience.
• Provision to attend TEAMS / ZOOM calls with other DT disciplines, representing us
• Liaising with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the design and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the design requirements
